Mom Hugs

“As a mother comforts her child, I will comfort you. You will find comfort in Jerusalem.”

—ISAIAH 66:13

How would you describe your mom? Is she tall? Short? What color is her hair? Is she kind? Funny? What do you like to do with your mom? Maybe you are super close with your mom. Or maybe you only see her on weekends. Maybe you live with a foster mom, an aunt, or your grandma.

The Bible says God comforts you like a mom comforts her child. That means you can turn to God when you are sick or hurting and he will give you peace. He will wipe away your tears when you are sad and give you rest when you are tired. You can tell your problems to God, and he will listen to you. When you go through good times and when you go through bad times, remember God is there for you even if your mom is not.

Give your mom a big hug or write her or the mother figure in your life a card or letter and tell her you how much you love her!
